Wise Painting Contractors is a family-owned business based in Dublin and we are a family in every sense of the word.

Hassan is the owner of Wise Painting Contractors. Hassan came to Ireland from Egypt over 20 years ago without any English. Despite this significant challenge, he has become an extremely proud Irish citizen who has made a significant impact in Dublin Painting Industry his adopted country.
​
As a fourth-generation painter, Hassan has a deep appreciation and understanding of the history and techniques of painting. He may have learned from his family members, who could have passed down knowledge and skills from generation to generation.

Initially, Hassan worked tirelessly, taking on two jobs for two different painting companies. His work ethic and attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and he soon progressed to the role of foreman in a large Dublin painting company called "South Dublin Painting". Hassan's experience and expertise in the painting industry continued to grow, and he eventually opened up his own painting business, subcontracting to all the major painting contractors in Dublin.

As his reputation for quality work and excellent customer service spread, Hassan's business continued to flourish, and he began contracting directly to homeowners and main general contractors. He takes great pride in the work he does and has established himself as a reputable and trustworthy contractor in the industry.

Despite his success, Hassan remains humble and grateful to Ireland for everything it has given him and his family. He has fully embraced Irish culture and traditions and is a proud Irish citizen who is deeply involved in his local community. He regularly volunteers his time to various charitable organizations and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Hassan's story is that of every migrant's story of resilience, hard work, and determination. He overcame significant challenges to build a successful business and establish himself as a respected member of his community. His journey is a testament to the opportunities that Ireland can offer to those who are willing to work hard and never give up on their Irish dreams.

Rory, serving as the appointed permanent quantity surveyor for Wise Contractors alongside managing his own quantity surveying practice focusing on residential projects in Dublin, brings a wealth of experience to the table. He is the fourth generation in a lineage of constructors/builders and quantity surveyors within the Connolly Family. Rory's late father, Frank, known for his kindness and dedication, was the esteemed local builder in Mount Merrion. His grandfather, Johnny Connolly, held the esteemed position of county Engineer in Monaghan, while his great-grandfather, Johnny Sr., was both an Architect and the Chief Engineer for Monaghan County Council.

Upon completing his Leaving Cert. at CUS in Lesson Street, Rory began his journey in construction, working part-time with Connolly Construction under the guidance of his father, Frank. Determined to excel, Rory pursued higher education, obtaining a BA in Economics from Trinity College, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Project Management from the School of Engineering, also at Trinity. Continuing his academic pursuits, Rory studied at Bolton Street DIT, earning a City & Guilds Diploma in Construction Technology, and later obtained his MSc in Quantity Surveying. Currently, Rory is furthering his expertise with an MSc in BIMM (Applied Building Information Modelling & Management) at TU Dublin, Bolton Street.

Venturing to the USA, Rory swiftly climbed the ranks from Site Foreman to Contracts Manager for Concepts In Colours, a specialized painting company in Noe Valley. Partnering with a colleague, Rory established San Francisco Restoration & Painting Company, which dominated the restoration services market in the Noe Valley Castro area for over 15 years, restoring over 500 of San Francisco's iconic Victorian Homes.
Returning to Ireland in 2003, Rory contributed his skills to a-fit-out specialist firm before founding South Dublin Restoration & General Contractors Dublin Company.
Over the span of three decades, Rory has managed over 1000 projects, transitioning from hands-on construction management to specializing in project management and cost consultancy for restoration, refurbishment, and new builds in the South Dublin Area, serving homeowners, architects, and corporate clients with quality and professionalism.
